I'm currently installing a BJ8 clutch on my Mk 1 3000 engine/Smitty trans
and have a BJ8 clutch on the bench.

The BJ8 pressure plate assembly is 2 to 2-1/8" thick. My old 10" pressure
plate is 3" thick. The thickness of the 9-1/2" BN2 clutch is key to whether
the stock linkage will work.

FWIW--I'd considered machining my old flywheel, but the different pin
pattern and smaller bolt circle made the machining twice the cost of a used
BJ8 flywheel.
