Len. I swallowed it hook line a sinker too until I was informed by another 
acrobatic pilot (who is one of the best I have ever known) that it is a 
fake. Two points: one, if the wing parted as it shows in the film, where are 
the control cables? The brake is too clean. Two, there is no reason for the 
picture to go out of focus when the plane stays at a consistent distance 
from the lens. If you will notice the focus blurs just before the landing 
and just before it turns away from the viewer at the end when the pilot 
raises the canopy. Could these be the change points from real to model and 
back to real? I agree though, if it is fake, it is a wicked good one.
