Hi, Paul -
I installed a Mallory Dual-Point in my BJ8 in 1992. Since then, I have had
zero problems with it and have only changed points once in 76,500 miles and
that only to prepare for a cross-country drive. Obviously, I have also not
had any problems with aftermarket Lucas rotors. The engine is stock.

I am looking into changing to a more modern distributor for my Healey which
is significantly modified and will likely be raced.

My choices are Mallory 2 point, Mallory electronic and 123 ignition.

The Moss book implies that the Mallory 2 point are particularly good for
Webers (though I can't understand why that would be)

I would be interested in feedback from the group, particularly from those
with modified engines.

Thanks

Paul
