I have made good use of every hard top that I have ever owned.   Sold all of 
them and put
the money into something really useful for the car or  kids future.    They 
are a PITA to store and the usage doesn't equal the expense at all .    May 
pay off when you sell but it has to be to a real purist
cause the casual observer/ driver,  wants a top down car not a hard top car.

Just my 2cents on experiences with hard tops.

FWIW,   for more room,   remove hard top.
