Hi Jim,

 I've never personally seen the carbs painted engine green. Inlet and exhaust
manifolds yes, heater pipe yes, heat shield yes, but not carbs nor their
mounting fasteners.

  While we are on the obscure subject of engines in Bowling Green Kentucky I
have  a question for Rich.

  I have a friend in Bowling Green who has an engine, I believe BT7, from a
wreck. The car had about three thousand miles on it when it was totaled and
then the car sat until he bought it a few years ago.

  The carbs are painted Healey Green and it looks like a factory paint job,
have you ever seen that before?
