I don't know the answer but as a clue a 14Axxxx part number would have 
been allocated to a small BMC saloon. The highest 14A number that I can 
find was used on an A55 countryman built from 1959 to 1961. 14A 9904 is 
higher than this so you are looking at cars like Minis or A40 Farina; 
but not necessarily one of these.
