John,  Put the tranny in first. Have someone in the car with their foot on the
brakes. Tighten the nut to at least 95 ft lbs of torque. You cannot do it with
an open end wrench. You need a socket on it. That means you have to undo some
motor mount bolts and jack the engine up high enough to get at it.  A loose
crankshaft nut will allow the damper to vibrate so much that it will fret the
end of your crankshaft. That may already have happened. However, if your are
not racing it, then, no worries.  Richard
