I don't know that much about it.  I consider the internet to be public in any
form.  Every email you've ever sent probably exists somewhere in some form.

I 'think' that Canada might be different in it's relations with Facebook?  I
seem to remember something about the data storage issue and Canada's privacy
laws.

Obscuring the data in that manner might help, but depending on what it is
being used for, they might be saving all versions of info entered.
