It all comes down to the amount of lead in your RH shoe. An uprated 
engine will usually be more efficient and will extract more power from 
the same amount of fuel. This means that in theory you will use less 
fuel travelling at the same constant speed. However, this is only true 
if you use a feather light touch on the loud pedal but if there is the 
extra power you tend to use it accelerating which will upset you MPG figure.
