my bj8 has a 3 core high efficiency radiator and a $4 stant 190 degree
thermostat. when i start up it smoothly increases to about 200 then drops down
to about 180 as the thermostat opens then pegs at 190 where it stays unless i
have a long light on a hot day or do a high speed drive where it might get up
to 200 or so. i recently installed the baffles for the radiator which has
never been on this car since i have owned it. it made no difference in the
temp. no idea why as i have always heard that it was important to do this.
