Based on the way the needle bounces around, my fuel gauge is precisely accurate
about twice a second.

----- Original Message -----

The petrol gauges are never very accurate, not even on many new cars, but after
several replacements of senders and/or gauges from various sources, often not
OE or NOS, there is no way of knowing what matches what in these old barges.
Recalibration is not always easy.
Best to check the distances in between 2 fills as a guide.
