Take a cheap 1/2" end wrench and grind down the box end--width and =
'depth'--until you can just slip it over the nut. It's tedious, but you =
can get the nuts loose enough that you can spin them off with your =
fingers so they can drop someplace inaccessible.

I now have a BJ8 with HD8 carbs. Any helpful hints on how to remove =
the air cleaners? The only attachments are the two bolts through the =
carb flanges, which are not very accessible. I can get at the outside =
ones ok, and one of the inside ones, sort of.
