I cut a 1/2 inch open end wrench in half. =C2=A0Drilled a hole in the stub =
end and inserted a string in it with a long loop that is long enough to go =
around my neck. =C2=A0That way when I drop the stub wrench it is easy to re=
trieve. =C2=A0The stub wrench has worked for me for =C2=A0many years. =C2=
=A0It is just long enough to loosen the bolt then as some one else suggeste=
d you can back it out with your fingers. =C2=A0I try to keep a magnet on th=
e bolt as I turn it so when it comes out it doesn't foll in that black hole=
where all my other tools reside.

These cars were not made to be easy to work on
I now have a BJ8 with HD8 carbs.=C2=A0 Any helpful hints on how to remove t=
he air cleaners?=C2=A0 The only attachments are the two bolts through the c=
arb flanges, which are not very accessible.=C2=A0 I can get at the outside =
ones ok, and one of the inside ones, sort of.
