Hi Simon,

Why not use the factory 90 degree angle piece that is part of the stock
filter assembly, and put the spin on filter adapter on it?  That is what I
did on my 3000.  This allows the use of a longer filter, and looks almost
just like the stock assembly.

Why people mount these directly to the block and end up with a filter
pointing straight out is beyond me.
