Interesting that you should say that David because although I=C2=A0 have no=
t built anything like the number of 6 cyls that you have I have never encou=
ntered this issue.

This is what happens when you restore an engine=20
properly, e. g. you clean the stripped block thouroughly. Cast iron is quit=
e=20
pourous and the wall between the oil channel and water jacket is quite thin=
.=20
When you clean the block you also wipe away any gunk that acts as sealant, =
so it=20
starts to leak oil into the water. Usually you can get away with this probl=
em by=20
installing steel pipes in the oil channel that goes across the block and al=
so=20
the channel up to the top.
