Mike, if your BGT is like mine the fuel pump has to lift the fuel up over
the rear axle before it reaches the pump. The area over the axle is like a
box and the exhaust heat accumulates in that area so with methanol laced
fuel it probably gets hot enough to boil the fuel causing the classic
"vapour lock".
Move to Canada where it is nice and cool so you won't have such issues :-)
