Lots of things can happen.  I had a new BN2 in 1956.  A friend
accidentally backed into it denting the left rear fender.  I took it
to the dealer to get it fixed.  They were out of swedged rear fenders
and so they put an unswedged fender on the car.  If my Healey is still
in existence it probably has one swedged and one unswedged rear
fender.
