Piston slap is caused by too much clearance between the piston skirt and the
cylinder wall. Usually present on cold engines with "cam ground" pistons,
Pontiac V8s come to mind as they were notorious for this condition when cold.
If
one ever overheats an engine, usually the piston skirts collapse and the
engine then develops "piston slap". Did your engine ever overheat?
The only way to repair this condition is to replace the pistons and measure
cylinder of round, taper and piston skirt to cylinder wall clearance!
Nothing in a bottle or can will cure this!! Sorry Hope this helps!
