ahhh the joys of social interaction...
Okay here goes... Yeah Dave can be a pain... yeah I can be a Pain... (
susshhh don't tell anyone... but maybe you can be a pain too )... ( unless
of course your Tom Bryant... then you can't... just ain't in your make up )
Now on to the meat of the matter... ( or lack of it if your vegitarian
budget so delights )
This whole gig is about exactly what Randy ( Jon? ) was trying to do... gain
and share information on the web.... and that was my intent when I started
this little free for all... and it's worth exactly what your paying for
it... ( thou I do recommend sending in your spare change once a year )....
If you can picture yourself in a large group of racers on a Saturday
night... well that's exactly what this place is.... sometimes you gotta yell
to get noticed... sometimes you can fart and everyone knows your middle
name... who knows what attracts us to this sport or what has caused it to
become such a passion for all of us... but here we are... in all our
splendid glory... ( some less splendid ) Don't forget to catch the names
of the yahoo's and chat with them... you'll find they are actually really
nice guys....
When your sitting there on your Fuffy Duff typing your little heart out...
it's like your in a room all alone... but when you hit the send key your
talking with a very dedicated segment of our society... we don't represent
the majority of Land speed racers... but we can count amoung us some very
accomplished folks... and many like JD, Tom Bryant, Dan Warner... and others
who have been in this sport since before I was born... ( sorry Dan, JD... I
just stuck your names in there to make Tom feel better )
Anyway... be nice to each other... act like theres a lady present... and try
not to butt heads about politics or religion... be as gracious as you would
in real life...
So where was I.... hmmm oh yeah... the purpose of this whole gig is to
familiarize ourselves with each other and enjoy the new found freindships...
get to know each other, learn each others objectives... share in the joys of
others accomplishments and maybe enrich our experience once we get to the
salt... Worst case senerio is that we could learn something here.... like
setting up a taper on a lathe... ( which I'll get to in a minute )....
SOOOO if any of you others that have been reading and not saying much want
to jump in I've got the whole pot calmed down for a minute... we'd actually
love to hear from you....
