Dear All:

I seem to recall reading an article or email in the last year or two about a way to fix leaks from the fuel changeover tap by using a Teflon (?) plug instead of the cork one that was originally fitted. Could someone point me in the right direction?

I would like to take the opportunity to thank the many people who helped with advice before and during the restoration of my 1931 M-Type Sportsman's Coup, which I left in the UK when I came to the USA as a student. Mike Allison recently completed the work, and the car made its re-appearance after almost 40 years in storage at the July rally of the Vintage Minor Registry (VMR). This fine meeting, superbly organized by Ian Grace, was held at Prescott to celebrate the 75th Anniversary of the Minor and M-Type MG.

Details of the VMR, which welcomes MG owners, can be found at:

Some fine pictures of the rally (including one of Mike with the restored car) are at:

Best wishes to all of you!
Roger M. Burnett
