Now that the TD is running like a top, I've been venturing out on some fair
mileage trips. Now the old gal does use some oil, mostly leakage I think.
The problem is that I just can't get a reading on the dip stick when the
engine is hot. The dip stick is clearly wet with oil, I just can't see it.
When the engine is cold, the oil shows up like a sore thumb. I'd like to
check my oil when I stop for gas. I'm using Castol 20W50, and my dip stick
is stock. Does anyone else have this problem? I'm real paranoid about oil
level ever since I almost ran my B out of oil with a leaky oil hose.
