side curtains

A friend of mine has bought a TD Mk. II with the original top and side 
curtains in fairly good shape.  However, the glazing in the curtains is 
broken and needs to be replaced.  It is a thicker, more rigid material 
than that in a convertible top.  Can anyone tell me what it is and 
perhaps a source or two for the material?
