How to mate spedo with T5 trans

Gang,

Does anyone know how to mate the speedometer to a T5 transmission?  I am
using an early Jag speedometer (registers 140) and need to mate it up to
a Borge Warner T5.  The problem is that they rotate in opposite
directions.  I am sure that I am not the only one to ever cross this
path but my British Car "Specialist" has no clue on how to make this
work.

Any advice will be greatly appreciated.
