Has anyone tried putting a MG speedo dial on an electronic speedo such as
the VDO?  I have a VDO in my V8 GT & it is great. Cost is about the sane as
Jim's mechanical set up, with the advantage that it can be re-calibrated in
minutes if you change tire size or rear end ratios. The only drawback is
that it does not look the same as the MG unit.

 That's pretty neat, Jim.  I would add that you probably should do the mile
marker checks two or three times at different places.  Those highway
department
markers are not exactly accurate depending on where you start.  If  you are
out
in the country with no exits, they tend to be more accurate.
