Well,
Actualy I'm a MechE., but I learned enough EE to build Vacuum Tube audio equipment (Hollow State, as opposed to solid state), wire the ceiling fan, and beat Lucas products into submition. I'm probably 5 years too old to fit in with the GenXers. I never whined about my angst, never went to Seattle, I have a purpose in life, and only wore plaid if it was the tartan of the Clan Donald. ;-) I think my ultimate project will be an all-tube stereo for the MG. In the meantime, my only EE project is a plan to electricute my wife's cat and make it look like an accident...........

Ok, Barrie just confessed his EE status to me. I've got a sneaky suspicion that James J. may have this affliction as well. I'm (well was, I'm in grad school right now) an embedded
systems guy -- digital design, firmware, software. How many EEs are there here? And
why are we attracted to cars with the most horrid electrical reputation?

ps RatShack? All the genXer sparkies call it RadHack, obviously with a bit of irony.
