Thanks for everybodies input.  Ive got a few pictures that I can email out if 
somebody
wants them - I don't have them on the web.  I haven't seen the actual car, just 
the pictures.  The car isn't running now, it was last licensed in '91.  
Apparently
the guy who built it got involved with an MGB ralley car, that he had also 
built,
so he wasn't doing much with this car.  The car is complete, but at least needs 
the carburetor rebuilt before it is driveable.  The interior looks pretty good 
except
that the top of the dash is in bad shape from the sun.  The door panels look 
good
and the car has upholstered fiberglass racing seats and 4 or 5 point harnesses. 
There is a nice looking center console installed with some extra switches (maybe
for fuel pumps or fog lights).  It looks like he used the original MG gearshift 
and boot.

The car uses a '64 Corvair transaxle, so from one of the emails I received, that
would be the older swing arm style Corvair - which I know had some handling 
issues,
but this is a lot lighter car, plus I think there has been some additional 
engineering
done to it.  Apparently he made an adaptor on the back of the engine for a 
clutch
assembly that goes to a drive shaft that goes back to the transaxle.  He made 
adaptors
to use Chevy brake disks on the front and it has Chevy drums on the rear.  It 
looks
like the wheels are the old 14-inch steel Chevy Rallye wheels with fairly narrow
tires.  The wheels and tires look like they are located in the same relative 
positions
as the original MG ones were.

I understand that the car ran good originally.  It accelerated very quickly, but
would tend to swap ends fairly quickly under hard acceleration if you weren't 
careful.
I think that the car would do better with some wider tires on it - maybe with 
some
Sebring styl flairs on the rear fenders!

The front of the car looks good with a nice chrome grill, tripod style headlamps
(the ones with the removable bulbs thow I understand that the reflectors are 
coroded
inside the lamps and some nice looking period driving lights.  Since the car is 
a '67 BGT it looks great with the chrome bumpers, grill and driving lights and 
no
side marker lights.

If I go get the car, the guy has some additional parts that I can get for low to
no cost (some stuff comes with the car and some wood be extra) that he would 
throw
in with it.  Since he is moving on Sunday he would like to get rid of it.  One 
of
the items that sounds interesting (that would be extra) is an MGB rear axle 
assembly
with a detroit locker differential - that would be nice for the BV8 that I'm 
building.

The car is located about 620 miles from me - so it would take two days worth of 
driving (one each way) plus about $200 worth of gas to get it.  It sounds 
interesting
and the car looks very solid (ie: no rust repair!).  I've just got to decide 
quickly
if it is worth it so I can let the guy know today or tomorrow.  I need another 
project
like I need a hole in the head - but it sounds interesting!
