I will second everything Roger sez regarding John Twist (and the advice that
is obtainable right here on the list) and remind list members that he
accepts tech questions by phone at his shop between the hours of 1:00 and
2:00 Eastern time, five days per week. That means leave him alone the rest
of the time, I'd wager, unless you're a paying customer. I've called him a
few times during that 'open line tech hour.' He doesn't want to chat with
you (you probably aren't the only one calling that day, and I'll bet there
are a few cars up on lifts in the shop that could use his attention too!)
but he'll give you very good three-minute advice on a problem you might be
having on your car.
