Mark - Do you mean it runs-on (rough, galloping) or that it literally
continues to run normally?  If it's the latter, there is a diode (I think
on the ignition warning light circuit - but memory is vague) that
occasionally fails - allowing current to flow in both directions -
effectively bypassing the ignition switch.  If this is the problem, your
ignition is on all the time.
