Leaf springs

I have been lurking on this group for the past 6 weeks as I have recently
become the proud owner of a '73B. I probably qualify for NASCAR membership
as I use it as a daily driver. Many years ago I drove Sprite's and big
Healeys, its great to be back in the LBC fold.

The left rear corner of my B appeared a little low and investigation
revealed the shock was shot. It was an original and leaking badly. I decided
to go with the Munro tube conversion. I was pretty sure it wouldn't correct
the "low wing" problem and it didn't. However, the ride and handling are
much better. It now appears that the left leaf spring is shot. My question,
should I or do I need to replace both leaf springs, or can I do just the
left side? Thanks.

PS: My youngest son just acquired a '72B that he now uses as an every day
driver. We are planning to do side-by-side in service restorations over the
next year or so. Does that qualify us for the first family membership in
NASCAR?
