Just crawled back outa the engine after checking/gapping
the old points on my newish 72 Midget. While there, I
determined:

1. Looks like the distributor's gotta come out to change
to new points. Izzat true?? If so, how well need I
mark the position? I mean, if the shaft ends in a gear,
I gotta be pretty particular. But, if the half-shaft
ends in an off-center cam (like my old VW Buses), I just
gotta come close. Anybody know which?

2. I lost the %&$# timing marks. They aren't sittin' up atop the crank
pulley like in a NORMAL car. Don't tell
me they're underneath the crank pulley. I gotta crawl
under to light the timing marks?? Anybody know where they went?

Or else it's just gettin' too late for this.

Help?
