Stiff steering: 
remove both the tie rod ends, then check if the rack is stiff or if it is the
king pins.

If rack, loosen mounting bolts and try again.

Give us a call after you have checked it out.

Speedo:
   Your angle drive broke because of to much load, speedo needs rebuilt and
replace complete cable. It will usually break again if you do not
repair/replace all pieces.
