Had the same problem with my 79B and also thought it was the fuel pump. Bought a new one and the problem still occurred. One day, when fiddling under the hood (which is just about every day I drive the car) I noticed that the female end of one of the wire connectors to the coil was loose...so I tightened it. Since then the problem has gone away...wish I fiddled more before I bought the fuel pump! Frank Sperling III |
