Is it possible or a good idea to remove an MGA engine without removing the
gearbox as well? I'm going to help a friend replace her clutch and
ancillaries. When I recently rebuilt my engine I pulled the engine and
gearbox as one piece. I thought it might be easier to just pull the
engine since we'll be working in a limited space but it might be a bitch
to separate/realign in the car as opposed to on the garage floor. Would
this be a good idea or a mistake?
