size of studs for thermostat housing on 66 MGB

The subject line says it all. The DPO of my 66 MGB has replaced them 
with bolts, and since I'm going to put in a summer thermostat I 
thought I'd put in the proper studs at the same time. The tricky bit 
is that I don't know the size of them, and if I take it apart to 
measure I can't drive the car to the parts store. 

So what I need to know is the lenght, diameter, and the thread at both 
ends. Anybody?
