Hi!  And thanks for responding to my query.  Don't know why these gaskets 
aren't
available -- gaskets for all the other lights seem to be.  And I assume that 
a new
gasket is included in the assembly.  The problem with making one is that the 
gasket
has a lip into which the chrome bezel fits.  It's really the only thing that 
holds the bezel on.
My gaskets are so bad, I'm afraid I'm going to lose the bezels.  Just got 
back from
a British Car Day, and every other Midget there had gaskets just as bad as 
mine.  Making this lip would be
tricky -- and it certainly would be difficult to make the "homemade" gasket 
look correct.

I appreciate your suggestion!

Try making one to a pattern.  It would seem that a thin mouse-mat might
provide a starting point for a suitable material !
