More on oil

At the risk of waking up a sleeping dog, there is info in the latest
Consumer Reports (July 96) on a test of motor oils and engine
treatments. The test involved 4.5 million miles of driving with New York
City taxicabs. Short version: 1. No brand of oil (including synthetics)
was any better than any other. 2. Oil change interval of 7,500 miles
recommended 3. Slick 50 and STP had NO benefit.
