FWIW, I wasn't putting down your choice of the TR-4. I too think it's a
good car. My point was that for pricing comparisons, because of the demand
for and availibility of the TR2/3 it was a closer match to the MGA.
Heck, If you like the TR-4, by all means, buy it. (OK, I can hear the drum
head court martial getting ready to cut my octagon buttons off and break my
dipstick over their collective knee). The whole point of LBC's is to ENJOY
them.
After 15 years in a multi-marque club, I've come to the conclusion that all
the inter-marque snipping is much akin to sibling rivalry. It's all in the
same family.
