Well, I'm certainly not an expert on the subject of car bodies, due to my
desire not to learn on my own cars (Anybody want to let me learn on theirs?)
But, my understanding is that the "MGB Crack" can be caused by two things:
1) The door hinge is fatigued or damaged, and it misaligns the door,
causing it to crack. Solution: Replace/repair hinge or body surrounding
area and then fix door- either reskin, replace, or weld with reinforcement
panel
2) The critical box sections that run under each side of the car are weak
and/or bent, causing the whole car to sag, misaligning the door,
causing it to crack. Solution: You shouldn't be worring about the
doors. Pay $$$ to get the rockers fixed (correctly), or get a new body.
