There is a company in Britain that makes a whole set of burl walnut
pieces for the MGB, including console, dash, and even door caps. The
concept is to replicate the interior of the MGRV8, which had a lot of
wood. They also provide posh leather interior kits along the lines of
that put in the RV8. While I was in England recently I saw a B with
this treatment. The quality of the wood and leather appeared to be very
good (just a superficial inspection, mind you), however, the total
plush/luxurious result looked somewhat out of place on a B. Anyway, I
am sure that you can buy just the dash alone, but unfortunately I don't
have the ad handy to pass along more information. If you can wait a few
days, I can access one of my copies of "MG Enthusiast" (a British
publication that can be found at better newsstands) that has an ad in
it. Or in the meantime, perhaps one of our British subscribers can help
you out?
