Hello All...

I've been lurking for a few months and finally find myself in a position
where I may be able to change myself from a 'wanna-be' to a bonafide MG
Owner. I've come across a 1971 MGB for sale locally and it seems to be a
good buy. I haven't had a chance to go over it thoroughly yet but on a
decent look here's my assessment of the car:

1971 MGB
color: blue
74,500 miles

The body seems to be in good shape. There are a few minor rust spots that
could easily be taken care of. The engine and transmission are good (I've
been told this by a very reliable 3rd party, haven't run it yet myself)
The top is in excellent condition (perhaps new) ... The interior probably
hasn't been touched since 1971 and needs a complete overhaul. The seats
will need recovered, the door coverings are also ripped. At least one of
the instrument panels seems to need replaced. The car is also missing
the chrome front grille cover.

It's definetly a project car - it could be driven in it's current
condition but it deserves a clean interior.

What I'm asking here is what you guys think a car like this should go for
on the market?? Also, since many of you also have experience refurbishing
your cars any ideas on the cost of replacing the interior??

Thanks for any help....

                                        Steve
