Has anyone else seen the new American Express commercial with Jerry Sienfeld
driving an MGA? You see only a portion of the front of the car as he drives
it into a gas station, but there is no doubt its an A. The sequence includes
a clever shot from the angle of the gas tank. Those of us who have done a
complete restoration of our cars can varify the authenticity of the view.
It is nice to see that Sienfeld has finally become cool and recognized the
attraction of one of the best of the LBC's. This couppled with the yellow
MGA in the recent Julia Roberts movie Something to Talk About will probably
start a mad craving among generation-X'ers for MGA's ....we'll be mobbed on
the street.....the value of our cars will skyrocket....we will finally be
recognized for the intellegent, stylish and truely cool people we
are...people will seek our opinion!
Then again, probbably not.
