The spray can paint will last quite a long time. The main question is,
satisfactory to whom? I'm satisfied with mine; you may be fussier. Try
it, and see how you like it. Rustoleum satin black is, in my opinion, a
good choice for chassis parts and underhood parts that originally were not
glossy.
