Chicken Launcher etc...

I have a friend who used to work for Pratt & Whitney and their version of
the chicken launcher was a nitrogen powered cannon that would launch a 10-12
pound bird (I think they used geese) into a running jet engine to see what
effect it would have (on the engine that is).  I'm sure each manufacturer of
aircraft has their own version of a machine like this.  But it doesn't beat
the pumpkin launchers that I saw that can launch a mid sized pumpkin between
1500-2600 ft!
