The Austin-Healey 100M and 100S have a 'cold air
box' fitted to the carbs ... this is a square aluminum
box, that replaces the filters, with one open end ... an
air hose, of the same type utilized on the 'A', is fitted
to the open end and extended out to the grille. The
'cold air box' is shown on page 26 of the Summer '96
Moss Motoring. A gent was kind enough to forward
me the dimensions of the aluminum box on his 100S.
I have been giving some thought to fitting a 'cold air
box' to the 'A' ... just a matter of fabricating the box
and extending the existing air duct hose ... what do
you think? ... good idea? ... bad idea?
