Hello all,

heres the first of a series of messages - didnt put it all on one in case
anyone needed a coffee, or to go to the bathroom etc....!

Having just spent almost three weeks in blighty polishing my accent and
wandering around places all over the UK in the furtherance of my hobby
(for that is what it is...)
I was looking forward to re-entering the list to see what threads were
on-going, who is fixing what and whether there was anything to be
learned, gleaned or otherwise enjoyed-
hmmm - seems like the winter doldrums have been rampant whilst i have
been away..

David D seems to have caused a(nother) firestorm due to a bit of venom
spitting which, having watched him before, I choose to think comes from a
particularly acidic sense of humour rather than a real psychotic tendency
for originality. (I have a cd player in my 69 and i dont care!)

Folk are flaming Jarl (who is usually so cerebrally accurate in his
technicals that i marvel at his knowledge) for harmlessly pointing out a
bargain in catalytic converters which if one HAS to have one( nobody
WANTS one)is truly handy to know

Carol and Barney are silent - not a good sign - and all in all there
seems to be vibes of the less than optimum nature abounding.....

Well...

In an attempt to return to the more positive narrative that I enjoy I'll
bore you all to death with what I'VE learned in case its of use - or
better still....IN CASE ITS FUN!!
