I have an article about it in "NASA Techbriefs" from July 1995. The
vehicle is called the Patriot and is a project of NASA and Chrysler.
It sounds very good: The car is a hybrid running an IC engine running
at a constant speed that alows it to burn efficently while providing
electricity for propulsion. Any execss electricty is converted to
kenetic energy in a spinning (125 lb) flywheel and can be used when
need for acceleration out of corners. They claim 500 hp and a top
speed greater than 200 mph.
