I have the Weber DGV with a K&N filter. The filter height is 1-7/8
inches not including the acorn nuts that hold the cover on, about 2-1/4
inches including the nuts. The intake manifold is Canon - not sure if
the carb would sit higher or lower on a different manifold. The hood
clears the filter - but not a lot of spare room. I did get under the
car with the hood down and found at least a finger's space between the
top of the air filter and the hood. Tonight, on closer checking, I find
there is a small indentation in the hood insulating pad where one of the
acorn nuts pushes against it - maybe as the engine torques under
acceleration. But, it's not showing on the surface of the hood.
Haven't seen a Longflo filter - but if it is thicker than about 2
inches, that could be your problem. The K&N looks nice with chrome
cover, bought mine from Brit-Tek.
