I took a similar approach but, instead of messing with nuts on a plate etc. I used a 3/8" thick triangle and put tapped holes in the appropriate locations. I used a small machine screw to hold the plate in place (drilled a corresponding hole in the top mounting plate to clear the head) and it worked like a charm. Ken Scott 77 MGB |
