3m makes a special spray contact cement for use on foam. Apparently, regular
spray glue will break down the glue over time. Home depot caries it. There
was a pretty good color insert in a Vicky brit on installing interiors.
Check if you have it somewhere...

I'm in the process of changing the torn seat covers on my 79 MGB and I'm not
sure of the type glue to use and where to apply it on the foam. Anyone been
there and done this? Appreciate any and all help. Thanks.
