Heater that uses hysteresis of an alternating current in a laminated iron
core. Probably not. Big ones melt iron in smelters, little ones expand
bearing races for fitting to shafts. >>
I've also heard the hot air inlet to the air filter on some cars refered to
as an "induction heater". It may be just a local slang term, but there is a
convoluted logic about it. It does heat up the induction system air.
